Nov 12: Two Senior Leaders to Join Memorial Health System

Dr. Larry McEvoy, chief executive officer of Memorial Health System, has selected Jason Fahrlander, M.H.A., M.B.A. to be the new chief operating officer (COO) at Memorial and Manoj Pawar, M.D., M.M.M. to be Memorial’s new chief medical officer (CMO). Both were chosen following a national search.

Fahrlander joins Memorial from Parkland Health & Hospital System in Dallas where he served as senior vice president, overseeing surgical inpatient and outpatient care, critical care, a level I trauma center and rehabilitation. Fahrlander holds a Master’s of Health Care Administration from Washington University School of Medicine and an M.B.A from Southwest Baptist University. As chief operating officer, Fahrlander will oversee inpatient and outpatient operations.
Dr. Pawar, a family practice physician by training, most recently served as CMO at Exempla Healthcare in Denver. He also has experience as a management consultant, executive coach and teacher. Pawar’s undergraduate work was done at Northwestern University, his medical training at McGill University, and his internship/residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. In addition, he earned his Masters in Medical Management from Tulane University. As chief medical officer, Dr. Pawar will be responsible for physician leadership, development and alignment.
