July 31: Memorial Health System Announces New SVP and COO
Memorial Health System’s CEO Dick Eitel has announced the appointment of Doug Landolfi as the new Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer of Memorial Health System, effective July 17. “Doug has 22 years of experience in the health care provider sector,” Eitel commented. “I am confident that Doug's breadth of experience, strong business background, entrepreneurial expertise and strong commitment to Memorial will contribute greatly to our organization.”
Prior to joining Memorial’s leadership team, Landolfi served as CEO and founder of DigitalCare, Inc. for almost a decade. While at DigitalCare, he assumed full financial and strategic oversight while building and managing this national health care information management company. From 1986-96, Doug served as shareholder and member of the executive team at Calumet Coach Company, a health care manufacturing company specializing in mobile diagnostic medical equipment.
Landolfi also has held the role of co-founder, chairman and CEO of RapidCare Medical Clinics, Inc., with full financial and strategic responsibility over the establishment of this early-stage clinical services company. RapidCare was established to coordinate with county and municipal governments across the US in evaluating, instituting and managing in-house employee medical clinics and pharmacy operations.
In addition, Landolfi has served both as Memorial’s Medical Ethics Committee chairman and on its board of trustees, from which he resigned upon his hire as Senior VP/COO. He graduated with honors from Pomona College in Claremont, CA. with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics (1982) and received his Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School in Boston, MA. (1986).
