Oct. 30: New Leaders Announced for Memorial Hospital North

With a patient-centered environmental approach, Memorial Hospital North, scheduled to open in April 2007, will be a full service hospital, which will include a birth center, emergency department, and inpatient units for medical and surgical care. The new hospital will be located northeast of the intersection of Briargate Parkway and Union Boulevard, serving the health care needs of residents in northern Colorado Springs and throughout El Paso County. To provide excellent patient care services at our new location, Memorial has hired two highly skilled leaders in patient centered care.

Lynda York, RN, has joined Memorial Hospital North as the Director of Patient Care Services. York will be responsible for providing patient centered care in all nursing units at the new hospital. Prior to joining Memorial, York worked at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa as the Director of Women and Children’s Services and Nursing Informatics. She also worked as an Assistant Administrator of Nursing at Montrose Memorial Hospital in Montrose, Colorado and was the Director of Nursing at Nemaha Community Hospital.

Oda Roozeboom RN, BSN, MNA, will also be joining the Memorial Hospital North team as the Director of Clinical Support Services. Roozeboom will be responsible for the management of radiology, laboratory, non-invasive diagnostics, patient access and the pre-surgical clinic. She has 20 years of clinical experience and has been with Memorial since 1991. Roozeboom has worked as the Clinical Manager and Nursing Supervisor of non-invasive cardiology, as well as a Clinical Nurse in the Pacemaker and Device Clinic, Electrophysiology Laboratory and Coronary Care Unit.
