Oct 2: New CFO to Join Memorial Health System

Dr. Larry McEvoy, chief executive officer of Memorial Health System, has selected Mike Scialdone to be the new chief financial officer at Memorial. Scialdone joins Memorial from Penrose-St. Francis Health Services where he has served as CFO for the past three years. Before coming to Colorado Springs, Scialdone worked 14 years as CFO at a variety of Florida hospitals. Scialdone graduated with honors from Auburn University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in finance. He was chosen following a national search.

As chief financial officer, Scialdone will be responsible for helping Memorial improve efficiency and financial performance. He will manage an annual budget of approximately $650 million and oversee a variety of departments, including purchasing, patient financial services and finance.
Memorial Health System is an award-winning provider of comprehensive health care services for Colorado Springs and southern Colorado. Memorial began in 1904 as a small hospital with only 16 beds and has grown to a 700+ bed health system serving the Colorado Springs community. Memorial consists of more than a dozen facilities throughout El Paso County, including three hospitals - Memorial Hospital Central, Memorial Hospital North and Memorial Hospital for Children, in partnership with The Children’s Hospital.
