May 17: Memorial Health System Board Announces New CEO

The Memorial Health System Board of Trustees has selected Larry McEvoy, M.D. to be the new CEO of the health system. McEvoy has served as the interim CEO since January 14 and previously as Chief Medical Officer. He was selected following a national search.
Dr. McEvoy’s experience includes serving in executive leadership roles at Billings Clinic, a multi-specialty hospital system in Billings, Montana; consulting on leadership development, physician engagement, strategy development and operations improvement; and practicing as an emergency physician. A board-certified fellow of the American College of Emergency Medicine, McEvoy received his medical degree and internship/ residency training at Stanford University and Hennepin County Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota, respectively. His personal interests include biodiversity, coaching and horsemanship.

Memorial Health System is an award-winning provider of comprehensive health care services for Colorado Springs and southern Colorado. Memorial began in 1904 as a small hospital with only 16 beds and has grown to a 700+ bed health system serving the Colorado Springs community. Memorial consists of more than a dozen facilities throughout El Paso County, including three hospitals - Memorial Hospital Central, Memorial Hospital North and Memorial Hospital for Children, in partnership with The Children’s Hospital.
