May 16: Memorial Health System Celebrates "LiveStrong Go Yellow Day!"

Go Yellow - Memorial Cancer Center Memorial Health System was certainly brighter Wed., May 16, as hundreds donned yellow to celebrate the System’s first Lance Armstrong Foundation “LiveStrong Yellow Day”. Employees and visitors were urged to add yellow to their wardrobe to show unity and support for people affected by cancer and raise awareness about cancer survivorship.

Thousands of Lance Armstrong’s trademark “LiveStrong” bracelets were sold along with yellow baked goods and popcorn. All funds raised benefit the Memorial Health System Cancer Center “Circle of Hope” fund, which helps patients and their families with financial hardships caused by cancer.

The Lance Armstrong Foundation’s “LiveStrong” event is dedicated to make cancer diagnosis, access to care, treatment and survivorship a national priority.
