Orthopedic Care

The Orthopedic/Neurosurgical Patient Care Unit is a 31-bed unit that provides quality care, education and emotional support to adult patients and their families. Our care-delivery model supports a philosophy of patient-focused care by assigning a medical team to the same group of patients during their hospital stay, providing better continuity of patient and family care.

Our services include:

  • Minimally invasive total joint replacement (hip, knee, shoulder, fingers, fractured hips)
  • Spinal fusions
  • Cervical and lumbar laminectomies
  • Open and closed reduction fractures
  • Bone grafts
  • Ligament repairs
  • Brain tumors
  • Craniotomies
  • Closed-head injuries
  • Altered sensorium

For persons undergoing total joint replacement, Memorial Health System offers free classes to assist in planning for surgery, the hospital stay and beyond. Our medical team encourages everyone undergoing a joint replacement and spine surgery to attend.

Call 719-365-5354 for class schedules.
