Food Services

At Memorial Hospital for Children in partnership with The Children's Hospital, we offer a unique dining experience for all of our patients, which is similar to ordering room service in a fine hotel. Nutrition Services is committed to providing your child with high quality meals of your choice, in a timely manner, at the appropriate temperature and delivered by one of our personable Room Service associates. We hope that you and your child will enjoy this unique hospital dining experience. Let us know if there is anything else we can do to increase your satisfaction with our Room Service Dining.

Menus

Menus are available at the bedside, or you may view them on your television screen. Please feel free to call our room service number (MENU or extension 56368) any time between 6:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. to order your child’s meals. You may order one meal at a time or up to three meals in a row. You may also place an order by calling (719) 365-6368 if you are not at the hospital.

Special Diet

Your child’s doctor may prescribe a special diet, which may limit the menu choices. Our Room Service associates will assist you with your menu selections and ensure that your child’s personal needs are met. Always check with the nurse before giving your child anything to eat that has been brought from outside the hospital to make sure it won’t interfere with any tests that are planned.

Counseling is also available for children with special diet or special nutritional needs at our outpatient locations. To schedule an appointment please call (719) 365-5230. NOTE: a physician order is required.

Guest Food Service

The hospital cafeteria, Atrium Café, located in the lower level, is open to the public and provides a full range of meals, beverages and snack options. Smaller box lunches are also available for $3.00.

Cafeteria Hours

1:30 a.m. to 4 a.m.
6 a.m to 2 p.m.
2:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Sharing a meal with family is one of life’s pleasures that your child can continue to enjoy while he/she is hospitalized. Family members may go to the cafeteria during normal operating hours and purchase a Guest Tray Voucher for $6. Then call our Room Service Dining number (MENU or 56368) and place an order. Please notify the Room Service associate that you would like a guest tray sent. The voucher will be retrieved by the Room Service associate upon delivering your meals. NOTE: we only accept cash payment for vouchers at the bedside.
